Indigenous futurities from the Anishinaabe Nation and beyond examines and explores the infinite potential that Native people have to change our realities and those of our future generations. Infinity links directly to gaagige giizhig, or the “forever sky” in Anishinaabe culture. Is the forever sky linked to science, physics, law, policy, treaty rights, constellations, culture, art, healing, family, and our identities? Futurities are dynamic, metamorphose, and a challenging proposition. What will the future hold? Who will we be? What will be the ripple effect from the stars to the sea?
